BacklinkMCP is a hosted API and MCP server for domain-level backlink and authority data. This page describes what we collect to run that service. We do not sell personal data.
Lookups (no account)
The free tier counts lookups per public IP per calendar day so the rate limit can be enforced. We store that counter and the domain you queried long enough to serve the cache and the daily cap. We do not use lookup IPs for advertising.
Accounts
If you sign up, we store the email and password hash you submit (via our auth provider) so you can sign in and receive an API key. Confirmation email is sent only if that flow is enabled. You can ask us to delete an account by emailing the address above.
API keys
Keys are created server-side. We store the key record and usage counts to enforce plan caps. Do not put a key in a public page or repository. Lost keys can be rotated by emailing us from the account address.
What the product returns
Query results are about other domains on a link graph (referring domains and scores). That graph is not personal data about you. Do not submit other people’s private data as a query string.
Cookies
The login and dashboard use auth-session cookies from the sign-in provider. Public marketing pages do not require an account cookie. We do not run a third-party ad network on this site.
Processors
Hosting, cache, and auth are provided by the cloud vendors this product is built on. They see traffic needed to operate those systems. We do not sell that traffic.
Requests
Email hello@backlinkmcp.com for access, deletion, or questions. We will not ask you to paste a live API key in email; rotate it instead.
